Tonya Peters

Ms. Tonya is the head instructor and owner of Force Defense & Fitness. She has over 15 years of self defense and fitness training experience, including Krav Maga, Kali, Muay Thai and Kickboxing. She is excited to use that experience to help you reach your personal goals! Tonya has always had a passion for teaching.  She not only teaches fitness and personal protection to the students through the classes offered at Force but also spreads that knowledge throughout the community with various self defense seminars and workshops. She enjoys working with a wide variety of clientele from law enforcement and military personnel to kids and parents or women's only workshops...anyone willing to work hard, have fun and learn something new.

 Before turning her passion into a full time school, she spent years helping educate others as a respiratory therapist, substitute elementary teacher and a member of the community CERT and MRC. Tonya is the mother of three wonderful and active boys. They are her pride and joy. In her spare time, Ms Tonya enjoys spending with family and friends, sports and traveling. 

Ms. Tonya is dedicated to helping others get fit and go home safe!!!

Achievements:

  • 2nd Degree Krav Maga Black Belt
  • Trained in Kali under Tuhon Apolo Ladra and Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje Jr.
  • Trained in Muay Thai, Kickboxing under Kru John Johnson
  • Instructor College
